Department of Pediatric Dentistry

Department of Pediatric Dentistry is primarily tasked with encouraging normal oral and dental growth and development in children and adolescents by comprehensively dealing with all of the diseases and disorders that can affect them. This includes filling cavities, the treatment of dental pulp, the treatment of external injuries of oral tissues and teeth, the treatment of maxillofacial growths and tooth development disorders, specialized treatments for patients with systemic diseases, genetic dental diseases, sports dentistry, occlusion management, the corrective treatment of malocclusions, and professional preventive maintenance. Children who are not comfortable with dental procedures can be given either sedation or a general anesthetic. The department is also striving to improve the quality of life of the differently challenged through treatments and periodic inspections.
